Aurora Award Pin Arrives

My Aurora pin arrived by mail on Friday.

The Prix Aurora Awards are the Canadian version of the Hugo. My book, Technicolor Ultra Mall, was short-listed for best novel. While it didn’t win, it was quite an honour to be nominated. And congrats to Robert J. Sawyer, who did win, for the third novel in his Wake trilogy.

The award circuit isn’t quite done for Technicolor Ultra Mall. It’s also been short-listed for The Sunburst, which means it has been short-listed for the two top science fiction awards in Canada.

And thanks to my editor, Susan Forest, who collected this pin at the award ceremony, which I was unable to attend, and mailed it my way. She was also nominated in the best short story category.

If you took the time to vote, thanks for your support. If not, well . . .

So yeah, I have a pin. Wish it was cufflinks but what can you do?
