Hey everyone. Sorry about the lack of posts around here. Aside from all the other stuff I do, the wife and I are trying to buy a house in Cali. So I’ve been busy. There’s probably (definitely) more to talk about on that but it can be hard to do something and blog about it at the same time.
Given the choice, it’s the blog that must suffer.
Anyway, here’s some stuff that’s also going on.

Space Squid reviewed Technicolor Ultra Mall and called it “a dystopian tour de force that will baffle and incite you in a spiral of emotions.” Space Squid has long been one of my favourite sci-fi zines. So much so that selling a story to them was an old goal of mine. You can read the review here.
I’ve also sold a short story to Tesseracts. This is the première Canadian science fiction anthology. Over the years, it’s included work by William Gibson, Robert J. Sawyer, Margaret Atwood, Karl Schroder and so forth. It’s been edited by Cory Doctorow and Nalo Hopkinson and so forth. This is the sixteenth one. You can find out more here.
These days, I’m also doing some baseball writing. My affection for the sport may be a surprise if you don’t follow me on twitter. If you follow me on twitter, my affection for anything else may be a surprise. Kinda depends on whether or not you started following me during baseball season.
Anyway, I have a bi-weekly feature at The Score’s Getting Blanked. The Kapower Rankings. It’s a parody of baseball’s power rankings. If you don’t know what those are, well, count yourself lucky.
