To the right is a doodle I did while waiting for GRIMMtoo to begin. Things like that are why I dislike people looking over my shoulder when I’m “taking notes.”
Anyway, my new review for Mooney on Theatre is up. Go have a read.
It’s also my final review for the site. I’ve resigned.
The editor and I had some irreconcilable differences. With me, that’s to be expected. We actually started with some irreconcilable differences and went into the relationship with eyes wide shut. (It’s amazing that we were able to make it work so well for so long.) I’d go into those differences here but, for me to come out talons shining and beak snapping, I also have to feel personally slighted.
And I don’t.
The editor, Megan Mooney, is a good person and a good editor. She was always quite accommodating to my position while maintaining her own. I tried to return the favour. But opinions sometimes diverge to the point where accommodation means someone has to give up something too valuable to them.
That is, I’m afraid what has happened here.
Shit happens, as they say.
Though I’ll miss attending plays –I saw some really good ones– I’m also happy that I’ll never have to sit through something like GRIMMtoo again. And if I pay for my own ticket, I can heckle. Some plays deserve that.
Not enough people heckle at the theatre. They should start.

GRIMMoo is bad? According to your doodle you gave it 25 stars.

The doodle system is a bit more complicated than that. It also got a parrot beaked monkey with cock and balls.
