This was the sort of song that was a hit in the 90s. I can only really explain that by saying that we had some decent though dirty acid and, when we watched tv, we were usually on it.
On the acid. Not on the tv.
And when we took our drugs and watched music videos like this, we would often watch Beavis and Butthead, which was a show about two kids on drugs watching music videos like this.
Or so I’m told. Frankly, that decade is a bit blurry.
But I do know this much. No discussion of 90s acid or television is complete for me without Voodoo Lady by Ween.
I remember turning the tv on one night, seeing this video and promptly turning the tv right back off again. The dog in the video fucked me up. Now — I haven’t bothered to watch it again and I’m not sure that there even is a dog in it.
But there was a dog in the room. A german shepard.
