It’s time for a new theme week. One about dressing for the winter.
Many of the blogs that offer advice on menswear are based in temperate climes. Though good for summer, fall and spring, the Canadian winter renders their advice utterly ridiculous. A person in California simply cannot comprehend the weather.
They have none.
But dressing for the Canadian winter is no easy task and this week is certainly not meant to be a definitive or dogmatic statement.
Rather, it is the start of a conversation. Our weather, though a brutalizing curse, offers us our best chance at true sartorial originality and innovation.
In the interest of starting that conversation while clarifying and improving my own ideas, I’m giving you this new theme week: “Winter Dressing in Canada: Looking Good When the Weather Can Kill You.”
