The libertarians over at Reason Magazine have posted an interesting little documentary on Che fashions. It’s a bit partisan but so are those shirts.

Che doesn’t represent rebellion.
In Cuba, the government has his picture everywhere. How rebellious is that? To me, he represents skinny cows, people in burlap and a lot of misery. He’s my least favorite sort of man; a man with more guns than ideas.
But I disagree with the idea that we should treat Che merchandise like we treat Nazi merchandise. We should actually treat Nazi merchandise like we treat Che merchandise. Sell it all, I say. Name a sports team after the Nazis.
We’re ready for that, I think.
And I own a piece of Che popaganda. I have a wallet with him on it. That’s how I show my contempt for communism and capitalism at the same time.
