Just in case anyone is curious, here’s a picture of my new face and a hairy little friend. My new mustache.

Since there’s nothing else to do during the Canadian winter, I’ve decided to grow a mustache. Watching hair grow might not seem like the most exciting thing but . . . What am I saying? There’s no “but.” Watching hair grow is dull. Completely. But so is Toronto in the cold. At least my non-existent upper lip will be warm. This one won’t be a Hitler mustache. Just a normal one. Like Stalin.
The dog is named Davy Jr. She’s a ferocious little creature, prone to biting, growling and barking. I was warned to never touch her. She has a long and bloody history of proving people who say “dogs like me” wrong. And, when we first met, she seemed intent on doing the same to me.
But dogs do like me and I like them. I also understand them. It’s not about affection so much as it is respect. Dogs are a lot like people except their virtues, not just their vices, are genuine. And, like humans, most of them have legs.
In spite of Davy Jr.’s fearsome reputation, she has proven amendable to reason. It took some conversation, argument and a few tasty treats but this little beast is now quite pleasant and docile. At least with me. She spends a good deal of time curled up on my lap and politely asking to be pet. I quite like her.

I like it, you look like you are wearing a disguise.

I think you need to get some twirling action going like the man in your sidebar, you’re verging on Canadian Tire salesman circa 1979. In a good way, of course.
