Fashion Crimes

All of these people are innocent until proven guilty.  Their clothes are another story.

DON’T

WHO?: Jimmy Jorgge

WHAT? Drugging and sexually assaulting his date.

We should not judge Jimmy Jorgge’s crime too harshly.  If you were named Jimmy Jorgge, you might sexually assault people too.  But his name does not excuse that shirt.  And, though I cannot be completely sure, I think I see some sort of jazz beard.

Many people would find it difficult to be offended by a plain black shirt.  It’s about the least offensive thing a man can wear.  But that’s exactly what bothers me about it.  Like his haircut and his face in general, that shirt is evidence of a total lack of imagination.  A raper should dress with a bit more pizazz.

As it is, Jimmy looks ready to rape that chair.

And a word of advice for people who meet people online:  If the girl goes to your apartment for post-date glass of wine, you really don’t need to drug and sexually assault her.  She’s drugging herself and I’m pretty sure that she’s willing to have sex with you.

DO:

WHO?:Dr. Anna Marie Arenson

WHAT?:  $30 Parking Ticket.

This doctor is a ray of sunshine on a rainy day.  When not parking illegally, she takes the time to buy colorful umbrellas.  More people should follow her lead.

While it’s difficult to go wrong with black umbrella, such a drab choice is a lost opportunity.  You need your umbrella when it is dark and cloudy.  Being so framed by gray, it is easy to jump out of the crowd with some color.  And that’s exactly what Dr. Arenson does.

But she seems sensitive to colors.  In her comments to The Star about her parking ticket, she said: “I really thought it was odd that they (parking enforcement officers) were going to be out but it was predictable … that there’d be a whole row of yellow tickets on cars along Bayview,”

Unlike the clenched fists of Mr. Jorgge, I also like how she has positioned her hands.
