FAT is all done. I missed the last night due to work but I was happy to be back on the job. After events of this kind, I always enjoy returning to the real world. Lifting things, scrubbing them, carrying them around.
All in all, I think FAT was well put together. Organizer Vanja Vasic did a good job on what must have been an incredibly difficult task. Bringing together musicians, artists, dancers and fashion folk could easily result in a perfect storm of clashing egos. But things went smoothly and it was a great improvement over the last one. Much better than that L’Oreal bullshit too.
But I can only take so much of these functions. I dislike being broadcast at. There were fancy lights, lots of screens showing things and music. It’s all a pys-ops. Nothing is really happening but it looks like everything is. If you got that amount of people together in a warehouse, turned off the tvs, forgot about the stages and flipped the off switch on the music, then something might actually happen.
Who knows what?
