The fall out from the whole “Pay Your Bill” episode has been odd.
For starters, I wasn’t even expecting any fall out. I just figured that one could make a complete spectacle of themselves on Queen West and no one would even notice, let alone care. My mistake. People apparently do notice these things.
Tables came in and asked me about it, left big tips, strange people smiled at me on the street and gave me the nod. You know, the nod. And girls left me nice notes. It’s like the exact opposite of a blackout. I’m much more accustomed to the anger of strangers, the sudden silence from friends and the terrified contempt of the women.
This is all very odd. And very stupid. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t enjoying it.
And Dishwasher, who is Japanese, now has the nickname Kato.
