Absorb and Expel

robot-restaurant.jpg

Posting has been harder than normal lately. There’s a few reasons for this.

Most of the recent news has bored me. I’ve been out socializing –this occasionally happens for some reason– and I’ve also been working quite a bit. There’s the tailor to visit, the novel to write and all sorts of other tasks. My days have been full. I’m tired.

When I sit in front of the computer, pretty much all I want to do is smoke a pipe and watch different TED Talks. I really like those.

But stuff has been piling up on my brain so I should be back at this in full force fairly soon. (Probably after Fictive Kinship Day, maybe before.) It’s just that, lately, my mind hasn’t been properly organizing all the info it’s receiving. I’m tired.

It’s hard enough to absorb information right now. Expelling it is damn near impossible.

I need a few empty days just to process everything. Until I have those, I’m just cramming in as much as I can. At least I’ll have some raw data to work with when I get some time.

In the meantime, feel free to ghostwrite or, you know, put up with half-assed posts like this one. As for me, I need to get some sleep. Tomorrow is my second fitting.

It would be great if you could take pictures of the process of your suit-making. There was a good programme on BBC on Monday about Saville Row and how the tailors are coping now that Abercrombie & Fitch have rocked up at number 1. It was a bit over-dramatized, but interesting to see the various tailors and their clients. Starting cost £2500 apparently! I’d love to see yours, and I reckon Toronto tailors are equally skilled. x

You know, I never take pictures of anything and this actually feels private. But there will be some pics of the suit after it’s complete.
