It was a beautiful afternoon and I spent it wandering around High Park. I don’t really like parks as they’re just tree zoos, but the city itself is just a concrete zoo. So we have zoos within zoos. Anyway, I had a good time and I’m going to show you all my pics but not all at once. So it’s not quite a single post and not quite a theme week.
That is some of the horrendous public art that one can find in Toronto. I have no idea what it’s doing in the park. It certainly doesn’t match the surroundings. Just because the city has a bunch of steel girders laying around is no reason to stick them where everyone can see them. Ugly. Just plain ugly.
That’s a dog who abandoned her owners and followed me around. Dogs are one of the few animals that always love me. I love them too. Her name was Sika. I learned that because her owners kept trying to call her back and she kept ignoring them. I wanted to run away with Sika and never go home.
This stairway leads to nowhere but there it is. And it really does lead to nowhere. I climbed it and poked around just to make sure that there was no invisible fortress there. There wasn’t. Or, if there was, it couldn’t support my weight. Sika got a laugh though.
