The people at the Neural Systems Lab in the University of Washington have invented a thought controlled robot. Basically you put on a tin hat, think about what coloured block you want to pick up and the robot does the rest. The machine works by reading brain waves. You can control where the robot goes and what it does when it gets there. Just think, pretty soon we’ll never have to go outside again. By Boxing Day next year, we should be seeing videos of robot shoppers trampling each other in the desperate search for more televisions.
