I hate The View. It’s on during the height of your hangover and it’s a bunch of women sitting around and talking. Do women watch this? I think they’re supposed to, but I cannot actually believe that they do. I honestly cannot even imagine the person who watches this show. It is utterly beyond me. Utterly.
That’s why it’s a miracle (and a testament to Danny DeVito’s talent) that he managed, for five minutes and fifty one seconds, to make this awful show entertaining. How did he accomplish this? He showed up drunk and he called Bush “Numb-nuts.”
Watching it, I felt such empathy for the man. I know it’s hard being drunk around sober people. (This video reminds me that Christmas with my family is coming up.) And I know it’s even harder to do at ten in the morning. (Once again – Christmas.) Mr. DeVito; I take my hat off to you.

What makes this even better is that the show is taped in the morning and he’d been out all night partying. So, not only was he drunk, but he was most likely coked out. I mean, he was out with George – “Let’s party all night so I don’t end up home, alone, surfing for gay porn” – Clooney. Not that there’s anything wrong with cocaine.
