World Cup

The World Cup is a big deal in Toronto. It’s when a bunch of yobs drive around in their cars and honk their horns, thus showing their support for the country that they or their parents left. So, this time around I decided to find out what all the fuss was about and watch the thing.

And I have to confess: I like it.

It turns out that football is not the degenerate sport of Godless, homosexual Europeans. It’s a pretty damn fine game, which is about twenty thousand times more entertaining than its American namesake.

As seems to be the custom I’m supporting the country one of my parents came from. That is, England. Unfortunately, I lack a car but I have been able to entertain myself by walking up and down the road yelling “BEEP BEEP” while waving a five dollar flag.

I also like Angola. They have a great flag. Just look at that thing.
