I’ve been even grumpier than usual lately. So it’s time to take a deep breath and look for some things that don’t piss me off. I didn’t have to look far. As a matter of fact, I just had to look in my email. UP TO YOU, a Toronto store that I’ve talked about here and here and here sent me one of their periodical newsletters. Turns out they have a new webpage and an online shop. Modern technology is great.
Their stuff always cheers me up. Just look at that glow in the dark light bulb pictured above. You get eight hours of light from that. I like things that glow. It makes me think that I’m living in a radioactive post apocalypse. I just need some mutants and robots.
While Up To You doesn’t sell those – yet – they do have a nifty bird feeder that attaches to your window by suction cups. So, at least, we can bring the avian flu right to our window and watch it ravage our feathered friends from the comfort of our breakfast tables. I also think this could double as a great cat toy.

That bird feeder is pretty cool. Though if it attracts more birds to fly into the glass it might lose some of its luster.
