On May 4th at Clinton’s Tavern Jeff Lemire and Zach Worton will be launching their new graphic novels. I haven’t read anything by Zach but I have a couple of Jeff’s books and they’re great. You can get a sample of his new one, Tales From the Farm, or buy it here. At ten bucks, it’s well worth it.
As for the launch party – it promises to be a boozey good time. There will be music and, from what I hear, scantily clad, beautiful people with low morals. (It is that time of year in Toronto.)
The pub is also just a short stagger from almost anywhere downtown. I have been to Clinton’s in the past and I can tell you that their prices and selection of alcohol is perfectly acceptable. You might not be able to get a Pousse Cafe there, but really, where can you get a Pousse Cafe these days anyway? And maybe you can. I’ve never been secure enough in my sexulaity to order one. No one should be that secure. Even if they’re female or gay.
