Well folks, it looks like we’re getting a new Star Trek Movie. And it’s gonna be a prequel because that worked so damn well for Enterprise.
As much as I love Trek, it became really chicken shit at some point. It’s hard to say when. There was a time when it tackled hard issues and got away with it. There was a time when Kirk, Scotty and Bones were always hammered and not drinking that awful fake booze; Synthahol or whatever the swill is named.
The show that had television’s first interracial kiss in the sixties was too cowardly forty years later to have a single gay character. This, in spite of Gene Rodenberry, who said in 1991 that: “In the fifth season [of Star Trek: The Next Generation] viewers will see more of shipboard life [including] gay crew members in day-to-day circumstances.“
That never happened. But this new movie will examine the early relationship of Spock and Kirk. Because it’s a prequel people are comparing it to Star Wars but I think they’re going for Brokeback Mountain. It would be about time. They need to settle the question of who was the top and who was the bottom in that relationship; if only to save us the speculation of horny fans. For my money, I’m betting that it’s Spock that boldly goes up Kirk’s wormhole. It’s only logical.

Oh my, I had no idea there was a market for adult Trek fan-fic… what a revelation!
People are so strange, or maybe not. Maybe it’s natural to fantasize about stars and characters. Oh, I don’t know.

Melly – Live and learn. Google Slash anything science fiction thing and enjoy. I have no idea who will play Kirk and Spock but I am sure that no one will be happy.

Markus – Now why would you think something like that? Kirk is much more flamboyent and, being in charge of the ship, the bedroom is where he would like to excercise his more submissive desires. I could, however, see Spock endorsing the 69 position as the most logical route to orgasm for both parties. We can just hope that these questions are answered.
