In Michigan they’ve started building robotic deers in the hopes that they’ll be shot by poachers. Then the poachers will be arrested. For shooting a robotic deer.
I’m going to ignore the weirdness of that “crime” and the moral repulsiveness of enslaving robots for the purpose of being shot, and instead concentrate on the bright side.
They use real deer skins to cover the moving robot bodies. This is exciting to me because I have a cat who I love dearly. And after she dies I wanted to have her stuffed and cloned. But now I can just get the skin off her, stick it over a robot and – Viola – new cat, same as the old cat. Maybe even better.
God, I love technology.

isn’t that some weird sort of entrapment? The hunters wouldn’t have shot the fake deer if the government hadn’t put it there…

Entrapment plus – they didn’t actually shoot a deer. they shoit a fake deer. If I burn a barbie doll can I be arrested for murder?
