Robo-Carp

If my consumption of seafood and a recent study are any indication, it won’t be long before we empty out the oceans of real fish. Fine, I say. Real fish smell and when I was a kid I was attacked by a bass. If anyone thinks that I’m gonna advocate the safety of a cowardly animal that picks on little children they have another think coming. But, I know, some of you radical types don’t like the idea of an empty ocean where humans can swim without fear of fish attack.

So to appease all of you crazies, I’d like to offer a solution. The Robo-Carp. While it is still inedible – bear in mind that its an early model – it can do most anything a fish can do. It can swim. And uh . . . Well that’s about it. But it can swim for five whole hours! Can you do that? Then shut up.

Ha ha – I love the last line of your post. I showed the fish to my son, and he said, “It doesn’t even look real, it looks dead. More like Robo-CRAP!” Too funny. Reminds me of that Aibo Dog that Sony sold a while back. It screams more money than brains to me!
Oh and Cheers to Toronto – I grew up there.

Came from italk2much.com. I like your posts. They’re different from all the other crap out there. Also, small little nit, it’s another THINK coming.

Carry on. I’ve bookmarked you. Thanks.

KR – Your kid is right – it is Robo-Crap.

Ka – Is it really another “think” coming. Why didn’t anyone tell me? All these years I’ve been sounding like a total asshole. I’ll correct that when I get a minment.

  1. Robot Fish Will Sniff Pollution « The Grumpy Owl

[...] I read the robot news today –oh boy– about a lucky fish who made the grade.  And though the bot was rather old, I just had to laugh.  I saw the photograph. It will be sniffing for pollution.  A group of reporters stood and stared.  They’d seen this fish before.  Two years ago on The Grumpy Owl. [...]
