There is such a thing as data smog. Not only am I contributor to it, I am also a mutant formed by years of breathing it. Inhale data, exhale noise.
To past generations I would likely be a sort of monster, being possessed of a nimble mind but no attention span; jumping from one thing to the other without intervening logic or insightful analysis. An idiot gymnast.
I feel like I exist in a sort of flux, my brain propped up by a computer crutch. Half binary, half man, all Ryanary.
I suppose that, when there’s nothing left to breathe except noise, we’ll go back to finding patterns and making information. Or we’ll just become info, a combination of biometrics and brain scans, uploaded into computers so that they can make a larger pattern out of it.
Until then, enjoy your HNT.
