Since I live in Toronto, I would feel rather left out if I didn’t add my voice to the chorus of shrieking idiots who have so thoughtfully apprised us of their opinions on gang violence and the boxing day shooting.
But, unlike the before-mentioned dingleberries, I would like to offer a solution: Pistols at dawn.
I think it’s time that we brought some decorum back to this society. Canadians, who are supposed to be polite, should not be shooting each other in the street. We should be shooting each other in our back yards. There should be rules and there should be manners. Perhaps even some paperwork.
I look forward to the day when opening fire on a crowded street is considered as impolite as farting on the streetcar. Until then we cannot think of ourselves as a civil society.

Yes. We’ll have socialized shootings. Another upside to this would be that the bureaucracy of government run duels would be enough to discourage any of the lighter hearted murderers.
