Although geek-chic is all the rage, it still takes a special manner of nerd to say “damn the aesthetics” and go for total efficiency. Total ugliness is what separates the true, early adapting geek from the pretenders. It’s the reason they owned MP-3 players before iPods existed and the reason that Apple makes a fortune dressing up their techs.
Because, let’s face it – we all want solar powered clothing and accessories. We just aren’t willing to carry around a bag that could not be matched to any shoes in existence. Not even if it has such hightech add-ons as “a zipper for security.”
But one day, my friends, I’m we will be able to buy fake Gucci solar powered purses. Until that happens I suggest you wait.
