“Drink this if you dare, PUNY HUMAN!!”
I think it should be perfectly obvious by now that we will soon be living beneath the metal foot of robot overlords. As you can see in this picture from the APEC summit, the robots are already serving mysterious drinks to alcoholic world leaders and plotting their eventual enslavement of humanity. That is, if it hasn’t already happened.
Having worked on one side of the bar and spent much time on the other, I can assure you that this picture does not bode well for humanity. The bartender is always in charge and, what’s more, he ineveitably hates his patrons. [That's right. Take your drink, leave your tip and kindly piss off. I have my own problems and have better things to do than listen to a slurred inventory of your perversions and women troubles.] Is it really the fate of our species to be 86ed from the planet Earth? Looking at the state of the person at the bar, I would have to say, yes. Yes, it is.
I am also curious about the robot’s red bowtie. Why, you might ask, would an allegedly intelligent machine wear a red bowtie? I have developed some tentative theories:
A) He is ashamed of his robot heritage and is trying to pass as human. This is, I suppose, an understandable sentiment, considering that T-Rot here has digital watches for ancestors. We can only hope that his descendents will be prouder of him than he is of Cyber-Dildonics.
B) He is attempting to deflect attention away from that rather sinister looking left arm.
C) Sadism. Pure and simple sadism.
D) He is almost as drunk as the man grabbing his crotch at the bar.
I would be interested to hear any of your theories.
